Free nail polish using Ulta points

OPI Ink. Really pretty dark purple/blue sparkle polish. I was sad that the Alice in Wonderland polishes were sold out and the new Hong Kong spring colors looked like a lot of polishes I already had. So...this is what I got. Best part, it was free! Used my Ulta points. You get 1 point for every 50 dollars you spend and the polishes are 2 points. I think will be an awesome toe color.

Spring Colour Forecast

Really had to cut my list down for this MASSIVE collection. It's actually 4 collections in one. Consists of Pink, plum, coral and amber color stories. I really wanted a lot more, but it all really adds up and I spent more than I planned on as it is. I really like everything I got though and it's colors that I think are really wearable for work or play. There are a bunch of new collections coming out in the next few weeks from MAC, but I think this will be my main purchase. I think MAC puts out too many collections too close together and for junkies like me it's hard to keep up sometimes. I try to research the collections before they come out and then figure out what I want. I make a list and then go see the collection in person. There are usually good swatches of new collections on the web, but seeing in person and trying the color before you buy is always the best bet. I usually only online for things I need to refill or brushes and stuff since the closest MAC pro store is downtown Chicago. So let me know if you get anything from this collection and if you love it?!

Spring Colour Forecast Blush Ombre

Finally!!! Every Glamour Girl needs a place to relax...

I have been looking high and low for a really long time for the perfect vanity for my bedroom. I just wanted something simple but had a lot of counter space. The drawers are large too so I can put a lot of items in there as well. I have some plastic drawer type things that I like so I think I will get some more to get everything nice and organized. I have makeup in a million little boxes and bins right now, so this will be a big project. But, when it's done I will finally have a nice place to sit and have axcess to all my stuff. I also got a chair that matches. Very simple, plain and black. I'm sure I will have to have my bestie Susie over to help be get things together. She is really good at all that stuff. I am just not an organized person, never have been! Will take some pictures when I get this all together.

The buried (in makeup) life... What do YOU want to DO before you DIE?

I love the new MTV show the buried life. If you have never seen it the show, it's about 4 friends who make a list of  100 things to do before they die. I think the opening is really cool. They say

If you only had one day to live what would you do? Would you climb a mountain, kiss the girl of your dreams, tell someone how you really feel?  What if you had the rest of your life? Would you lose that drive or would your list get longer?  What do you want to do before you die?

So... What do YOU want to do before you die?

Here's a few that would make my list:

Sail down the amazon river
Apply makeup to a famous person
Volunteer in a 3rd world country
Climb a really great tree with my son
See the Mona Lisa and weep
Learn to speak french
Get a great tan, just once
Ride a horse to the bottom of the grand canyon
Spend time in Alaska for both the 24 hours of sunshine and 24 hours of nightime
Design some scrubs that are actually sexy
Really have breakfast in front of Tiffany's
Get my closet really organized
Learn to play pool and be good at it
Collect an original Barbie Doll
Swim with dolphins in the open ocean
Learn to change a tire
Help a random stranger change a tire
Dress up as a Disney character in a parade
Thank every soldier I see and shake their hand
Go to makeup school
Learn more about my family tree and teach my kids
Build a really huge victorian mansion dollhouse
Shop in Paris
Learn to bake
Get drunk with Obama

What would you do? I want to see your list!

MAC Spring Colour Forecast: The Season's Hautest Hues

So excited about this collection!!! I am still picking over my list as I am into the 200.00 range right now and need to par down the list. So many beautiful pinks and purples. I really want to try some coral colors but I'm a kinda scared. I've never really looked very good in orangy type stuff. So go to Maccosmetics.com and tell me what you are going to order.

Mascara Review #8...

So I think this may be my Holy Grail Mascara! This product is just about perfect except for the price. It is pretty expensive at $24.50, but is by far the best of the mascaras I've reviewed, by a lot. It goes on super rich and creamy, a very dark, dark black. No clumps or big chucky globs at the end of the wand. The wand has a really wonderful brush that coats each lash and applies the perfect amount. No big spider lashes. No having to go back in with a lash comb to separate. I had no flaking with this product either, which seems to be a problem I've been having lately. I felt almost like I had on falsies my lashes looked so perfect. A big thumbs up on this one!
