How to save money on makeup!

I'm going to post a youtube video very soon on how to save money on cosmetics. Makeup is expensive and there are several tricks and tips I have found to save those dollars! Just got back from Europe and a bit tired from the trip still. The time differance is brutial! So stay posted and I will have you saving big bucks in no time on all your cosmetic obsessions!

Finally!!! Every Glamour Girl needs a place to relax...

I have been looking high and low for a really long time for the perfect vanity for my bedroom. I just wanted something simple but had a lot of counter space. The drawers are large too so I can put a lot of items in there as well. I have some plastic drawer type things that I like so I think I will get some more to get everything nice and organized. I have makeup in a million little boxes and bins right now, so this will be a big project. But, when it's done I will finally have a nice place to sit and have axcess to all my stuff. I also got a chair that matches. Very simple, plain and black. I'm sure I will have to have my bestie Susie over to help be get things together. She is really good at all that stuff. I am just not an organized person, never have been! Will take some pictures when I get this all together.

The buried (in makeup) life... What do YOU want to DO before you DIE?

I love the new MTV show the buried life. If you have never seen it the show, it's about 4 friends who make a list of  100 things to do before they die. I think the opening is really cool. They say

If you only had one day to live what would you do? Would you climb a mountain, kiss the girl of your dreams, tell someone how you really feel?  What if you had the rest of your life? Would you lose that drive or would your list get longer?  What do you want to do before you die?

So... What do YOU want to do before you die?

Sail down the amazon river
Apply makeup to a famous person
Volunteer in a 3rd world country
Climb a really great tree with my son
See the Mona Lisa and weep
Learn to speak french
Get a great tan, just once
Ride a horse to the bottom of the grand canyon
Spend time in Alaska for both the 24 hours of sunshine and 24 hours of nightime
Design some scrubs that are actually sexy
Really have breakfast in front of Tiffany's
Get my closet really organized
Learn to play pool and be good at it
Collect an original Barbie Doll
Swim with dolphins in the open ocean
Learn to change a tire
Help a random stranger change a tire
Dress up as a Disney character in a parade
Thank every soldier I see and shake their hand
Go to makeup school
Learn more about my family tree and teach my kids
Build a really huge victorian mansion dollhouse
Shop in Paris
Learn to bake
Get drunk with Obama

WTF??? involves a locksmith

Went to court with BFF and ignition key broke off in door- how was I suppost to know which key is which? I guess you cannot have camera phones in court and we needed to put ours back in the car. She handed me the keys and i ran back to car to put phones in. I only have one car key that opens door and starts car, she doesn't. Key broke in two pieces. Yikes- now what? Put phones on the wheel well of her car and prayed no one would see them and went back inside. After like 2 hours in court, we had to get a locksmith. $184 later she drove off.

flooding!!!

blah! The streets are completely flooded and we can't get to the mall. We will need to find some indoor things to do. Mike went tubing in the flooded streets with friends. He will come home a muddy mess. Nice. Drama from woodstock. My BFF is having husband problems. Wish she could move back to CS. Too far to help each other on a daily basis like the old days. This rain sucks!!!

The search for the most awesome graphing calculator

Ok, so it's raining like crazy. My beautiful, dramatic daughter needs a graphic calculator. I when out 2 weeks ago in the rain to look for one but had no luck. Everyone was sold out- yuck! It was 8pm and stores where closing. I was told ten minutes before that she HAD to have one for a test in the morning, as in the next day. She had to borrow one from a friend(soooo embarrassing mom!). So again I will trudge out in the rain for this stupid thing. Then I will go to the gym, where they are getting to know me pretty well! Who would have thought someone as unmotivated as moi would become such a gym rat!
